England’s under-17s are on the back foot in Group B of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship following Friday’s 4-2 defeat against Italy.
Jack Porter played 90 minutes for the Young Lions while Max Dowman got 70 minutes under his belt before coming off for Finlay Gorman.
Samuele Inacio gave Italy the lead from the penalty spot before Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez pulled one back for England.
Cristiano De Paoli put Italy back in front but Rodriguez equalised again early in the second half.
Italy got another two late on courtesy of Thomas Campaniello and Andrea Luongo.
England are now third in Group B of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with one point from two games.
The final group game takes place against bottom-placed Czech Republic at 7.30pm on Monday, May 26.
